Angela Franks is a writer, Associate Professor of Theology at the Catholic University of America, and the President of the Academy of Catholic Theology for 2025-26. She earned her PhD at Boston College, focusing on the thought of Hans Urs von Balthasar. She is the author of Margaret Sanger’s Eugenic Legacy: The Control of Female Fertility and Body and Identity: A History of the Empty Self.
