Walter J. Scheirer is the Dennis O. Doughty Collegiate Professor of Engineering in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and a specialist in artificial intelligence. His most recent book, A History of Fake Things on the Internet, was released in December 2023.
