Petra Bueskens is an Honorary Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, a psychotherapist in private practice and a fledgling farmer. She is the author of
Modern Motherhood and Women’s Dual Identities: Rewriting the Sexual Contract (Routledge, 2018),
Australian Mothering (co-edited with Carla Pascoe-Leahy, Palgrave 2020), and
Nancy Chodorow and The Reproduction of Mothering (Springer 2021). She has two forthcoming books, an anthology called Heterodox Feminism to be published by Zer0 Books later this year and a monograph called Subject Woman to be published by Polity in 2025. She lives in regional Victoria with her two children, dog, cats, two sheep and gaggle of hens. Her adult daughter lives nearby.
